A wee bit of HISTORY in the Making!

HYPE have been established since 2007 and is the brain child of Ray who originally started skateboarding and rollerskating locally in 1977 at the age of 7 when skating in Ireland was getting popular. By 1979 BMX took Ireland by storm and Ray turned his hand to BMXing. BMX races and freestyling were soon being held in virtually every part of Ireland and the UK. By the age of 15 years old Ray had already raced in the British Championships three times and was doing freestyle demos throughout Ireland, the UK. In 1995 Ray raced Internationally in Pennsylvania USA in the National Bicycle League, 15 years expert class, coming 2nd riding for an American company, VP racing. His BMX bikes included Pro Star, Diamond Back, Redline and still owns a Hutch.

HYPE's Customer sales is now managed by Brian Pinkerton who's has an outstanding knowledge base. He has ridden BMX for years and is passionate about the sport. Our customer sales team all have an interest in riding or skating so there is always somebody to help you out. Internet shopping makes buying easier, but if you want to seeing the parts in the flesh come into HYPE for a chat!
